About Brain Injury Rehab

Brain Injury Rehab has provided therapy services to (mostly) adults with Acquired Brain Injuries from auto accidents for 24 years.

We work on a “Fee for Service” basis, i.e., a Treatment Plan is submitted to your auto insurer for consideration of pre-approved funding prior to treatment being provided; same as the local physiotherapy or chiropractic clinic.

BIR.CA consists of a small group of Associates who provide; Occupational Therapy; Speech Language Therapy; Physiotherapy, Social Work, Dietary Consultation & Case Management.

Many of us have worked together long-term and have a familiarity & experience to work effectively on your behalf. We look forward to the Opportunity to Work Together!

CASE MANAGEMENT

Case Management (CM) for Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) is a collaborative process of assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating services to meet an individual’s health, well-being, and occupational needs.

Occupational therapy (OT) for Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) is a client-centered practice that helps individuals regain independence in daily activities by addressing physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.

Speech and Language Therapy (SLP) for Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) is a rehabilitation process focused on restoring and improving communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills that have been affected by a brain injury.

Physiotherapy for Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) is a specialized rehabilitation approach focused on improving a person’s physical function, mobility, and quality of life after a brain injury.

A Rehab Support Worker (RSW) for Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) is a professional who helps individuals with an ABI implement their rehabilitation goals through direct support, life skills training, and assistance with daily living.

Dietitian Consultation for an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) is a specialized, patient-centered approach to coordinate and optimize the nutritional care of individuals who have sustained a brain injury.

Social Work Therapy (SW) for Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) is a specialized, person-centered approach that addresses the psychosocial, emotional, and practical challenges faced by individuals and their families following a brain injury.
